In the app
Vignetra follows Apple’s accessibility guidance on iPhone and iPad and respects the settings you have already chosen.
- VoiceOver. Buttons, moments and controls have spoken labels. Page and section titles are headings you can move between with the rotor. A moment is read as its title, place and date, and its actions are available from the actions rotor.
- Larger text. Text follows your Text Size setting up to twice the standard size, and layouts rearrange so nothing is cut off.
- Reduce Motion. When it is on, moving transitions become a short crossfade or change instantly.
- Increase Contrast. Every appearance meets the WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for controls). With Increase Contrast on, secondary text and outlines rise to AAA (7:1) and floating glass controls become nearly opaque.
- Not by colour alone. A selection is also shown by a thumb, a check mark or weight, and an error always has words.
Languages
The app is available in 85 languages, including right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu, where layouts and directional icons are mirrored. It follows your device language, or you can choose another in Settings.
This website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The site uses semantic landmarks and headings, a skip link, keyboard-operable navigation with visible focus, text alternatives for every image, colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, and layouts that work from 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom. It follows your system’s light or dark appearance, Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast settings, and needs no audio, video or drag gestures.
Known limitations
Photos and videos come from your own library and usually have no written description. Vignetra cannot guarantee that every photo, title or note is described, and it never sends your media off your device to create one.
In 13 of the 85 interface languages, Ask cannot yet read questions you type; its suggested questions still work. Map gestures, video playback and sign-in screens provided by Apple or Google may behave differently with some assistive technologies.
If something essential doesn’t work for you, tell us. We’ll look for an accessible alternative and use your report to prioritise a fix.
